Which Agency Pathway Fits Your Starting Point?

Compare how Protégé, Associate Agent, and Retail opportunities approach experience, compensation, and ownership preparation, then bring the right questions to your district conversation.

Your first question doesn't have to be “Which program is best?” Ask which opportunity makes sense for your experience, resources, and goals.

Learn within an existing agency

Protégé Agency Producers work for an existing Farmers agency owner. The opportunity combines practical experience, training access, and milestones designed to prepare candidates for possible agency ownership. The hiring owner arranges employment terms.

Build through an Associate appointment

The Associate Agent opportunity lasts up to 24 months. It includes commissions on applicable production, training, and available district and territory support. Qualifying results may support a further appointment opportunity or capital reduction, subject to eligibility and availability.

Prepare for Retail ownership

Retail focuses on building and growing an agency, with startup support and qualifying incentives designed around the first 36 months. Candidates review capital, licensing, office, staffing, and onboarding requirements.

Make the comparison personal
